I have decided to participate in the Tour of Novato to raise funds for the Sinaloa drama program, which benefits ALL of the students at Sinaloa.
The drama program has not only been a place for our actresses and actors to flourish, it has also become a safe place for all of the kids at Sinaloa. Our classroom has a special connecting separate space filled with twinkling lights and soft cushions, and is quiet- which is not always easy to find on a middle school campus. It is often filled with kids from all over Sinaloa. It’s used daily, during lunch, for anyone who needs a place to go.
It takes a lot of funding to run this program. I have been so grateful to School Fuel and Sinaloa parents for their continual support. We have come a very long way in a short period of time!
My hope is to be able to get next year's 8th grade class (and those that follow) to the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon. My husband takes his class there every year and says it is an incredible experience! As you know, it costs money to go.
Because of my dedication to Sinaloa drama, The Sinaloa Little Theater, and the students at our school, I am participating in this year’s Tour of Novato to raise funds for our program.
